This card for the air sign of Libra (September 24-October 23) is adapted from my book The Alchymical Zoodiac: A Celestial Bestiary (Imaginarius Editions, 2003). The figure representing Libra is based on the ancient Egyptian goddess Ma'at, the archetype of balance and order in the world which also characterize the sign of Libra. The book includes the twelve signs of the zodiac and four elements; the Sun, the Moon, the Wind and Ourobouros, the symbol of the cycle of life. Each sign is shown with its star constellation. An explanation of each sign and symbol can be found in the Artist's Notes section of the book.
