This is a photograph of an acrylic and impasto painting, " Super Moon " by Jackie Ward Artist. Heavy gel impasto with shiny metallic, bronze, gold and copper paint have been used to create a 3D effect, which exaggerates the dark, cold flatness of the water. The characters in their Victorian dress suggest times gone by. The whole scene is lit by a bright Super Moon which is an occasional phenomenon.
