This design shows Adam and Eve holding Shabbat and Havdalah lights, surrounded by lush plants and a variety of animals. The scene represents how they, according to Jewish tradition, received the gift of fire after their first Shabbat. From then on, they greeted the Shabbat with fire and after Shabbat ended, greeted the new week with the Havdalah light. The flames are depicted here shedding rays of light into the darkness, a symbol of hope for the new week. The scene is depicted in rich colors, with dark purples in the nighttime sky and brighter colors in front. The rays of light coming from the Shabbat and Havdalah candles extend outwards, symbolizing joy and hope for the future week. The full moon's shape is echoed in the circular rays of light, further emphasizing the importance of the lights.
