| Artist Notes: | Victorian England was fascinated by the lore of sweet charming fairies and their surrounding fairylands. To escape materialism, straight-laced formality and religious restraints of 19th century society, the English created stories and images of romantic, ideal worlds inhabited by fluttering magical beings. This is one of a series of four. |
