One of the earliest uses of white doves as a symbol is in Judaism and Christianity. Following the great flood in the story of Noah’s Ark, Noah releases a white dove to find fertile land. It returns carrying a fresh olive leaf to guide Noah and his Ark to an area where the floodwaters have begun to abate. A beautiful cross trimmed in red with a red cloth draped over it with white doves on a elegant background with snowflakes and stars makes for a lovely, religious card for your wonderful boyfriend.
