. . . and to my horror and surprise,
a Scrawny Witch was making cupcakes,
and right before my eyes . . .
rows of bloody cupcakes
with eyes, and toes, and ears,
were sitting on a shelf, well,
it just brought me to tears.
The sight of all those body parts
alone by themselves,
incased in little cupcakes
on bloody cobwebbed shelves.
Could they have once belonged
to the owners of this store,
who now reside as Ghosts and Ghouls
to haunt it forever more.
Oh, I'll never have another cupcake
from that little store,
and when I wipe the blood from this one,
it will be my last from there . . . for sure!
Have a super spooky Halloween!

Artist Notes:

This fun Halloween card is made up from a little poem I wrote especially for the occasion. The poem starts on the front of the card and continues on into the inside. My colorful drawings illustrate some of the poem and include a scrawny green witch, a bloody finger, some eye balls, pumpkins, spiders, and a cupcake. They surround the type which is in white on a mainly black background.
