St Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. He is reputed to have banished all snakes from the land. A Celtic cross stands in the background and shamrocks decorate the grass. Behind everything is a rainbow, another symbol often associated with Ireland. The text underneath reads ‘Beannachtai an Feile Padraig Ort’ which translates as ‘Blessings of St Patrick’s Festival upon You'. The card is based upon an original watercolour by Christine Burn, executed in the style of a stained glass window. The inside is left blank for your own message.
