| Artist Notes: | A design celebrating Mexican Independence Day on September 16. In the background is a profile of the map of Mexico. The image is housed in a frame with the year '1810' written over the top edge of the frame. Behind the numerals is an image of the Mexican flag waving in the wind. 1810 is the year the parish priest of the village of Dolores issued the Cry of Dolores. Historical events tell of the priest ringing the bell of his church, giving the call to arms that triggered the Mexican War of Independence. |
