World Parrot Day is celebrated on May 31. These wonderful and intelligent animals play important roles in their natural habitats. For example, they help promote forest growth by dispersing seeds. For those birds who are being kept as pets, we need to promote responsible pet ownership. This illustration shows a lorikeet perched on a soapbox, squawking out a message on behalf of its feathered friends.
