Artist Notes:
|
Few names bridge the worlds of classical history and Christian tradition as completely as Avgoustinos. Derived from the Latin title Augustus, meaning "venerable" or "esteemed," the name was later embraced by the Christian world through Saint Augustine, one of the most influential theologians and writers of the early Church. His works shaped Christian thought for centuries and continue to be studied today. Inspired by the enduring legacy of faith, learning, and spiritual reflection associated with the name, this design combines traditional Greek motifs with a luminous cross and richly textured blue background. The gold accents and metallic effects shown in the artwork are simulated as part of the design. No actual foil, metallic ink, or embossing is used in the printing of this card.
