A joyful card to wish someone who has survived a kidney transplant a Happy 1st Anniversary highlighting an ecstatic smiling kidney wearing big eyeglasses and red, white and blue sneakers set against a soft gradient background with white fireworks to add some flicker. Original design by Laurie Schneider, elements by Scrappin Doodles, Scrap and Tubes, Diana'z Designz. Normally, transplant surgery takes around three hours for both the living donor and the recipient. The donor's kidney is planted on the lower abdomen of the recipient. Its blood vessels are connected to those of the recipient. This will make it possible for blood to flow through the kidneys.
