Stretched comfortably across a well-loved dog bed, this roan Brittany Spaniel rests beside a sunlit window after a day that is finally over. The breed's distinctive orange-and-white markings, athletic build, and gentle expression are rendered in soft watercolor tones, while the garden beyond the window creates a feeling of familiarity, peace, and home. This design was inspired by the experience of waiting and wondering when a beloved dog is missing. For me, it recalls a Brittany named Cosmo who disappeared for three days before safely returning home. Created as a thank-you card for those who help reunite lost pets with their families, the artwork celebrates the relief, gratitude, and renewed sense of security that follows a joyful homecoming.
