This illustration was inspired by a drawing my father did early in his life. I found the drawing in a stack of his poetry after he died from complications with parkinsons disease. His sketch was simple yet powerful with one dandelion tall and opened while a second slumped a bit and was closed up. Dandilions always remind me of my childhood when I would pick them in the yard to give to my mom, not realizing they were weeds.
